Doctor portal

A doctor portal is a login that a dental lab gives its practices, as part of the lab’s management software. A practice uses it to submit cases to that lab, upload files and check the status of its work. Each lab’s portal is separate, so a practice with three labs has three portals.
How it shows up between practice and lab
A portal gives a practice a window into one lab. That lab’s cases and their status are there, in the lab’s own format.
Whether it helps depends on whether practices use it. A front desk that works with several labs may find a phone call quicker than another login.
A lab can measure this. Counting last month’s cases by how they arrived shows what share came through the portal, and what share came another way.
